Hungarian Falls
Description
One of the Keweenaw Peninsula’s most dramatic hidden waterfalls, Hungarian Falls near Hubbell drops in three cascades through a deep copper country gorge. The 1.5-mile round-trip trail traverses rugged terrain past remnants of the mining era before arriving at a series of falls dropping a combined 80+ feet. The lower falls are particularly dramatic — a powerful plunge into a dark, narrow canyon surrounded by ancient basalt. A true off-the-beaten-path Keweenaw gem.
