Munising Falls

One of the most accessible and striking waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula, Munising Falls drops 50 feet into a sandstone canyon just steps from downtown Munising. A short quarter-mile boardwalk through a lush gorge lined with ferns and wildflowers leads to a viewing platform directly in front of the falls. In summer, the falls flow full and green with surrounding foliage; in winter, they freeze into an spectacular ice formation — a popular ice climbing destination.
