Alger Falls

A roadside gem right on M-28 at the eastern edge of Munising, Alger Falls drops 20 feet over a mossy rock face directly visible from your car window — though it’s worth the 30-second walk to appreciate it up close. This small but pretty seasonal waterfall is especially powerful in spring and after heavy rains. It’s a perfect quick stop to stretch your legs while driving the M-28 corridor through the Pictured Rocks area.
