Northern Lights Campground

Northern Lights Campground sits along the Michigamme River near School Lake outside Republic — a beautiful slice of classic Upper Michigan wilderness. Run by Republic Township, the campground offers a mix of full hookup sites (30/50 amp electric and water) and spacious rustic sites set back in the trees. On-site Wi-Fi and cable TV are available. It’s a perfect base camp for exploring Marquette County’s backcountry, Fumee Lake, and the surrounding iron country. Families love the quiet atmosphere, scenic river setting, and the genuine get-away-from-it-all feel of the place.
